Ong Beng Khim
Beng Khim received her legal training at Middle Temple in the United Kingdom and was subsequently called to the English Bar in 1969. In 1974, she received further legal training as a postgraduate at the, then, University of Singapore, before being admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1976.
Prior to entering private practice, Beng Khim worked with one of the top local banks and was amongst the founding staff members at the Bank of Singapore. She then practised independently under her own name for 21 years, from 1978 to 1999. Thereafter, Beng Khim practised as a consultant with Ong, Tan & Nair from 1999 to 2001.
Since April 2001, Beng Khim continued her role as a consultant with Tito Isaac& Co LLP, bringing with her a wealth of experience that complements the Firm’s energetic vibe and innovative approach. An accomplished lawyer of more than 30 years standing, the realms of Property, Civil and Family Law have become her niche areas of practice.
In the work relating to Property Law, the sale, purchase or rental of a property demands the professionalism associated with managing any key asset and Beng Khim’s expertise in various areas of conveyancing from private to commercial and industrial properties is invaluable to the Firm’s dedicated conveyancing team. She has also acted for various local banks and small developers.
Within the realm of Family Law, clients often require Beng Khim to act on divorces or probate matters. In divorce cases, she typically advises from the early stages of initiating proceedings to the division of matrimonial assets and settlement of other ancillary issues. In probate matters, she deals with issues of inheritance and drafting of Wills including submission of applications for Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration. Apart from these, Beng Khim has also handled the legal aspects of adoptions.
